Simply put, we could not do what we do without the help of rescue groups and fosters! Please see the information below and let us know if you can help.

What is a Rescue Group?

Rescue groups or organizations are dedicated to pet adoption. These groups take unwanted, 被遗弃的, 滥用, or stray pets and attempt to find suitable homes for them. Many rescue groups are created by and run by volunteers, who take the animals into their homes and care for them, including training, 玩, handling medical issues, and solving behavior problems, until a suitable permanent home can be found

Animal shelters often work closely with rescue groups, because shelters that have difficulty placing otherwise healthy and pet-worthy animals usually rather have the animal placed in a home than euthanized; while shelters might run out of room, rescue groups can often find volunteers with space in their homes for temporary placement. For rescue groups, we require a copy of a 501c3 non-profit status.

What is a foster home?

A foster home is a temporary living situation for pets at ARC while they are awaiting placement in a permanent home. Foster families provide shelter, food, care and love.

The number of animals we can save depends entirely on the number of people who open their homes and hearts to foster them.
